Mary Jane Chutes Vases
3.25″ x 12″ class column bases are pocketed into 8″ x 8″ square monoliths ranging in heights of 32″, 34″, 36″ and 38″. Slight tapers are cut on 2 sides of the “Chutes” to intersect the glass pocket which adds unique shapes to each piece.
Chutes are cut from select logs chosen for distinct grain patterns. The logs are cut to maximize the used cross sections of trees which results in dramatic cracks and splits in the wood. Colored epoxy fills the crack and colors are made to order.
